A cumulus cloud covered sky fails to dampen the screams of a hapless victim, as a clown’s epaulettes flap around like last week’s washing on a whirlygig. If only a beautiful (impromptu) costume lady could pin them down, perhaps then, this operatic and somewhat charming homicide could take place in a more appropriate and cinematic fashion.
Well, that’s exactly the start of the romance between Jessica Mann (Forrestal’s Solicitor) & James Payton (Otto the Clown).
Jessica, an actress in her own right (Guest House Paradiso, The Gathering, Highlander: Endgame) was invited for a nighttime set visit by producer, Justin Hayward, and soon found herself pressganged into helping the costume department, which included pinning down Otto’s epaulettes into a less agitated state so he could continue on his murderous jaunt.
The perfect recipe for romance.
As is the way of all things James Payton (Wednesday, Young Sherlock, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, Captain America: The First Avenger) what follows is mired in controversy and half truths but our dashing (according to him) young (he implores you not to check) hero (debatable) insists that DMs were slid into, invites to shows offered and accepted, official grown up dates entered into willingly by both parties,
and nearly three years post their woodland frolics, a charming flat in leafy Finchley became their home.
Charlie Shaw’s Revenge has already begun to receive critical recognition. Filmed in a distinctive location, the film has won Best Narrative Feature at Made in Sussex, along with awards for SFX and Cinematography at the Horrific Romford Film Festival.
