Great Britain’s Joe Salisbury and Brazil’s Luisa Stefani booked their spot in the Wimbledon mixed doubles final with a straight-sets victory over second seeds Zhang Shuai and Marcelo Arevalo.
In a tightly contested semi-final, Salisbury and Stefani held their nerve in two high-pressure tie-breaks to triumph 7-6 (8-6), 7-6 (7-4). The win continues their flawless run at the tournament, having not dropped a set on their way to the final.
They will now face the Czech Republic’s Katerina Siniakova and Dutch player Sem Verbeek for the title on Thursday.
The match featured few errors from either side, but it was Salisbury and Stefani who edged the key moments in both sets.
For Salisbury, this marks his second appearance in a Wimbledon mixed doubles final—his first was in 2021 with compatriot Harriet Dart, where he finished runner-up. Now 33, he is aiming to clinch his first Wimbledon title and add a seventh Grand Slam doubles trophy to his career achievements.
