The Urban Planning Department has announced a comprehensive roadway repair project for Boulevard des Moulins, scheduled to take place from July 1 to September 6, 2024. The project aims to improve the quality and safety of the road, ensuring a smoother commute for residents and visitors alike.
Phased Repair Schedule
To minimize traffic disruptions, the repair work will be carried out in several phases:
Phase 1: July 1 to July 26
- Time: 08:00 to 17:00
- Activity: Preparatory work
- Traffic Management: Manual traffic control during the day and light signals at night.
Phase 2: July 29 to August 2
- Time: 20:00 to 06:00
- Activity: Planing and application of gravel-bitumen
- Traffic Management: Road closure at night.
Phase 3: August 5 to August 27
- Time: 08:00 to 12:00 and 13:00 to 19:00
- Activity: Repair of peripheral gutters
- Traffic Management: Manual traffic control by day and light signals at night.
Phase 4: August 27 to August 28
- Time: 20:00 to 06:00
- Activity: Application of coatings
- Traffic Management: Night-time road closure.
Phase 5: August 28 to September 6
- Time: 08:00 to 12:00 and 13:00 to 17:00
- Activity: Resizing of buffers and full lane restoration
- Traffic Management: Manual control by day and full lane restoration at night.
Temporary Adjustments
During the construction period, several temporary adjustments will be made to accommodate the repairs:
- Electric Bicycle Station: The electric bicycle station on Boulevard des Moulins will be inaccessible.
- Bus Routes: Bus lines will be diverted to Avenue Saint Laurent, with a temporary stop established at 7 Avenue Saint Charles.
