Sean “Diddy” Combs has pleaded not guilty to an updated federal indictment that introduces new allegations of forced labour. Prosecutors claim the rap mogul coerced employees into working under threats of harm and forced at least one individual into sex acts. His lawyers have strongly denied the accusations, asserting that all relationships were consensual. Attorney Marc Agnifilo stated, “He looks forward to his day in court when it will become clear that he has never forced anyone into sexual acts against their will.”The amended indictment expands the racketeering charge Combs faces in a sweeping federal case. He also remains the subject of numerous civil lawsuits alleging sexual assault, which his legal team has dismissed as publicity-seeking attempts. In court, Combs, wearing a prison jumpsuit, stood to enter his plea. He acknowledged reviewing the charges and was supported by family and friends. He appeared composed, exchanging smiles and gestures with his loved ones.A key point of contention in the case is a 2016 hotel surveillance video appearing to show Combs assaulting former girlfriend Cassandra Ventura. His lawyers claim the footage was manipulated, while prosecutors call it crucial evidence. The judge urged both sides to reach an agreement on its presentation.Jury selection is scheduled for 5 May, with opening statements expected on 12 May.
