The beloved annual Monegasque picnic, U Cavagnëtu, is making its much-anticipated return on Saturday, September 7, at the scenic Parc Princesse Antoinette. This cherished event is an exclusive celebration for Monegasques and their spouses, with attendees required to present identification at the park’s various entrances.
This year’s festivities will kick off at 18:20 with a mass held on the park’s sports field. Following the spiritual gathering, guests will enjoy a delightful picnic, serenaded by the harmonious tunes of the U Cantin d’A Roca choir and a lively Jazz Quartet led by Lionel Vaudano from the Rainier III Academy.
In a fresh twist to this traditional event, a grand evening ball will debut this year. The ball is set to dazzle attendees from 20:30 to 22:30, transforming the sports field into a dance floor under the stars.
To enhance convenience, starting from 17:00 on the day of the event, Monegasque ID holders or those with an invitation will receive complimentary access to the Monaco bus network and free parking at the Jardin Exotique car park.
Join in the spirit of community and tradition at U Cavagnëtu, where this year’s celebration promises to be more enchanting than ever with the addition of the new evening ball.
